A guide to choosing where to run

Application hosting / PaaS

Compare application hosting platforms by deployment workflow, runtime support, persistence and operational controls.

What to check before choosing

Start with your deployment unit: source code, a container image or a framework-specific build. Check whether the platform supports your application runtime, build steps and long-running processes before comparing convenience features.

Trace the state your application owns. Databases, uploaded files, background jobs and scheduled work may have different persistence and scaling rules. Check backup, restore, region and networking options rather than assuming that managed application hosting includes them.

This list contains products classified as PaaS, not every service capable of hosting a website. Profiles show each assessed capability’s result and evidence; unassessed capabilities remain explicit. Compare usage limits and pricing units against your workload; a headline starting price is not an estimate of your total bill.

An independent spec sheet for places to run code, and the code your agents write. Facts come from each product's public pages; every capability is a count, never a grade.

Pages change; so do prices. Verify on the vendor's site before you commit; every product page shows when it was read.
